Checklist For Posters Conventions

v  A large title which attracts the eye
v  Casting crew
v  Credit block
v  Stills / Montage - Background image
v  USP – Perhaps using the main characters name for promotion
v  Intriguing picture which will attract the viewers to the film
v  Website across poster
v  Graphics / Images
v  Certificate rating
v  Title
v  Genre is clear – if hybrid inter media referencing evident
v  Type of font used
v  Poster font  that has been applied
v  Distributer / Studio
v  USP – Unique selling point
v  Bold colours that stand out from the background
v  Target audience – logically thought out and can be argued
v  Portrait or landscape
v  Taglines / Catch line (branding slogan)
v  Persuasive language – which may persuade the viewers to see the film
v  Key image – rule of thirds used
v  Have a version of this poster in A4
v  Have another version of this poster with dimensions around the page
